NORFLEX
INTRAMUSCULAR INJECTION
NorFlex (Orphenadrine) is a muscle relaxant used at Nucci Spine Institute to help treat patients with acute to severe muscle spasms. This injection usually takes effect within 30 minutes. Patients receiving NorFlex injections should have a designated driver to transport them home, as the injection may cause drowsiness.
NorFlex is not for patients who are allergic to Orphenadrine or sulfites. Patients with conditions such as stomach ulcer, glaucoma, heart disease, liver or kidney disease may not be candidates for NorFlex, or may require special monitoring during treatment. NorFlex is not for all patients.
