Dr. Hammond Nerve Monitoring Dr. Edward Hammond

Edward Hammond PHD is a neurophysiologist with over 30 years experience. Dr. Hammond attained his PhD in 1976.  He was appointed Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Florida from 1982 to 1993, and Director of the EEG laboratory at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.  He has been in private practice since 1993, and is a published author in international journals in the field of neurophysiology. Dr. Hammond performs nerve monitoring on all patients during surgery to prevent any nerve injury and ensure an optimal outcome.

 

 

ElaineElaine L. Sadeghi, MS, ARNP

Executive Administrator of Patient Services

Elaine is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years progressive healthcare experience.  Elaine works very close with Dr. Nucci to providing care to patients.  Elaine's unique ability to communicate enables her to assist patients during the continuum of care at Nucci Spine Institute. Elaine facilitates medical clearances for our pre-operative patients.  Additionally, Elaine participates with pre and post-operative evaluations at the hospital.  She also works closely with the staff at the hospital to help ensure a rapid recovery.  As the Executive Administrator of Patient Services she is dedicated to 100% patient satisfaction.  She strives to anticipate needs and offer resolutions.  Elaine joined our staff after completing 20 years of Emergency Medicine.  Additionally she has taught nursing school.

 

Carmele OlivoCarmele Olivo

Clinical Supervisor, X-Ray Technician

Carmele completed her training at the Ultimate Medical Academy in Clearwater, Florida where she graduated with a certification in x-ray technology.  She began her career at Nucci Spine Institute in 2001.  Carmele has made it her personal goal to capture the “perfect view” with each x-ray.

 

 

 

Charlene Baston

X-Ray Technician

Charlene is a native Floridian who is proud to be part of Nucci Spine Institute.  She has been an x-ray tech for four years and is currently going to school to obtain a degree in Radiology.  Charlene has been with Nucci Spine Institute since July of 2006. “I am dedicated to my career and will continue to strive for excellence.”

 

 

Susan LyonsSusan Lyons

Licensed Massage Therapist

Sue has been with Nucci Spine Institute since August of 2002. Nationally licensed as a massage therapist, she specializes in acute soft tissue injuries. She provides therapeutic massages in a private room, helping patients achieve the goals set forth by Dr. Nucci.  Sue is a Low-back disorder prevention specialist who received her massage training at “The International School of Beauty” in 2000.  Sue also holds certification in Functional Capacity Examinations and is a certified personal trainer.

 

 

Valarie Harris

Licensed Massage Therapist

Valarie has been with Nucci Spine Institute since 2005, she is nationally licensed as a massage therapist who specializes in therapeutic massage and neuro-muscular therapy.  Valarie received her training at The Humanities Center School of Massage.  She holds a certificate in Functional Capacity Exams and is a Certified Personal Trainer.
